A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! Take a trip into the world of Granblue Fantasy, the popular role-playing video game and the latest franchise featured in Kotobukiya’s elite Ani*Statue lineup. The debut character brought to life in 1/8 scale is DANUA, a gloomy creature who communicates via her creepy dolls Hansel and Gretel.
The Dark character comes to you just as she appears in the game, standing in a shy pose while her companions cavort around her. Danua bites her thumb with a sad expression on her face, and you can see her feet pointed inward due to her nervousness.
She wears a ragged, nearly translucent pink dress that flows onto the ground around her, and she pairs that with strappy shoes, fingerless purple gloves, and a wide, ornate belt.
The long, twisted horns emerging from Danua’s dark hair are decorated with charms and symbols, and glowing purple blood levitates through the bandages wrapped around her arm.
Hanging from that arm by its long hair is the doll Gretel, and like Hansel standing beside them it has glowing purple eyes, a detailed doll’s outfit, and a wicked blade ready for mischief. Sculpted by Kouei Matsumoto, Danua stands just over 7 inches tall (1/8 scale) on a unique cobblestone styled base.
